Leukerbad
- the biggest spa centre in the alps.

Hiking
Turtmanntal - a lovely unspoilt valley between the Mattertal and Val d`Anniviers. This is the first of the German speaking valleys going eastwards from Sierre. - www.turtmanntal.ch

Vallon de Réchy, the Hidden Valley - a totally protected conservation area with no roads or buildings. A small valley but considered a real gem, it lies west of Vercorin - www.noth.ch/h0129_e.html.

Mountaineering, rock climbing and viae ferratae (climbing routes which are at all times secured with wire cables and where necessary ladders. They are for experienced mountain hikers who have a good head for heights and they represent an intermediate stage between mountain hiking and serious rock climbing).
